Hello, I have a small problem. My fish seems to be disinterested in everything around him. The fish is either a lithobates or mloto likoma (they look the same as little guys and I got both). I started with 5 of each, but I believe something ate one of the species right off the bat because they were very small. So I was left with 5 of them, good size in retrospect of their community, they were my second largest behind the Modestus. Well now I'm left with 3 and one I'm pretty sure is going to die. The two before this one did the same thing, turned his back on everything around him and sat on top of the powerhead, the next day, dead. I made this one turn to me so I could get a good picture, but a few seconds later he was staring at the back of the tank again. I'm wondering if any of you ever encountered this with these fish, either the mloto or lithobates and what is happening? Are they just an anti-social fish. They're giving up, I hate when things do that, why are they just giving up? All five of these fish had a lot different demeanors than their community. Ever since I had them there attitude has been a, whatever attitude. Their community consists of (all fish are less than 2 1/2 inches) and have minimal nipping or aggression (everything gets along with each other, the aggression is toward the same species):
5 moori
5 modestus
5 lwanda-These dudes are tough, they're my smallest fish by a pretty large margin, but they do not back down to anything. I really like these guys.
5 Placidochromis phenochilus
2 albino brisle's
2 flagfish (had some hair algae)
3 snails
2 Synodontis petricola
3 Taiwan reef's
3 lithobates or mloto likoma's, tomorrow probably 2
All water parameter's are good, nitrates are under 30, ph 8.0, plants (3 java fern, 1 anubia, 8 stalks jungle vals, 1 amazon sword) are now flourishing with less algae. I do give the plants very light Seachem Flourish ( I mean light by less than the instructions instruct). I was going to thin these fish out, 1m 2f, once I determine there sexes, but this has be baffled, they're the only fish dieing. Thank you in advance for replying.

Sounds like a problem......If the fish is not eating, you've got an internal problem spreading through the tank One sick fish leads to another sick fish (through the fishes eating a sick fishes droppings) and passing it along. Starts from wrong diet, over feeding, & dirty water.
Treatment: Metro, Clout ...even Epsom salt works well & keep up your water changes! One guy named Ad Konings thinks 50% water changes are a must....I agree!
Best of luck Smile
