Common Name "VC-10", "Labrosus"
Fish Size min 8" - max 10" Inches
Min Tank Size 100 Gallons
General Information Located throughout the lake. Found in deeper water over the rocky habitat. Diet in the wild consists of invertebrates taken from the rocks.

The aquarium should have some rockwork but still provide open swimming space both along the bottom and mid-tank region. Forming caves in the aquarium will greatly benefit this species and bring out its natural behavior. Feed a quality cichlid flake/pellet food, supplement occasionally with frozen brine, krill or mysis.

Wild strains of P. milomo have large, fleshy lips. Unfortunately, this unique trait disappears in domestically bred strains.
