Fish Size min 8" - max 10" Inches
Min Tank Size 75 Gallons
General Information Located throughout the lake. Found mostly in vegetated habitats in shallow water. Diet in the wild consists of small fish.

The aquarium should have some rockwork but still provide open swimming space both along the bottom and mid-tank region. Feed a quality cichlid flake/pellet food, supplement occasionally with frozen brine, krill, mysis and feeder fish.

Commonly refered to as the "Malawi Eye Biter", which greatly missrepresents this fish as it does not bite the eyeballs of other fish.
