General Information Located throughout the lake. Found in intermediate habitats. Diet in the wild consists of small mbuna.

The aquarium should have some rockwork but still provide open swimming space both along the bottom and mid-tank region. Feed a quality cichlid flake/pellet food, supplement occasionally with frozen brine, krill, mysis and live feeder fish.

This is the only fish in the Aristochromis genus. A. christyi should not be kept with smaller mbuna and haps as they may become part of A. christyi's diet.
